The Soothing Bath
The Little Things

Little things, like a cup of tea, or the colors you surround yourself with, can have a great impact on your mood and stress level.

Colors can influence your mood. In rooms where there's plenty of sunshine, cool colors can provide a calming ambience. Surround yourself with colors to relax you. Blue provides you with a sense of tranquility, like the calm you feel when you gaze at the clouds or stars in the sky. Green is soothing. Balances and refresh yourself from the hustle of your day with this reassuring color.

Sound has been used for centuries by people of all cultures for healing. Sounds that are around us like traffic, voices, the ocean, whales or musical instruments have an effect on how we feel. Love songs help us connect to each other heart to heart. Drum music is good for grounding us and for raising our energy levels to where we feel like we want to dance. Some have likened our body to an orchestra, all players (like the internal organs) need to play in tune and cooperate with each other for the music to sound harmonious.

 

 

LITTLE TIPS TO EASE STRESS

A CUP OF TEA
Why tea? There are health benefits associated with polyphenols, astringent compounds that act as antioxidants and may help prevent cancer. Polyphenols are found in all teas. There is a strong association with tea and taking time to relax, meditate and focus on oneself.

BREATHE
Take a slow, deep breath to control your breathing and taking control of your stress. You can use your breathing to help change your mood and stress level. Breathe slowly, deeply and deliberately through the nose to furnish your body with oxygen and help your body get rid of toxins.

ATMOSPHERE
Create a soothing atmosphere through the use of aromatherapy, candles and music. Use scented candles with a fragrance for your particular mood with relaxing music.
